About Granlibakken
A small, family-run hill at the end of its own road in Tahoe City, and one of the few places on the lake where a beginner's first day doesn't cost a week's wages.
The Hill
240 vertical feet across 5 runs, served by 2 lifts, topping out at 6,560 feet. It is deliberately gentle terrain. People learn to ski and snowboard here, and plenty of Tahoe locals took their own first turns on this hill before graduating to the bigger resorts up the road.
